About Shalom Business and Technology College, Hawassa, Ethiopia

     Shalom Business and Technology College (SBTC) is a private higher-education institution established in 2019 and located in Hawassa, in the Sidama Region of Ethiopia. The college is accredited by the Ethiopian government’s regulatory body, the Higher Education Relevance and Quality Assurance Agency (HERQA). Academically, SBTC offers a variety of programs across diploma, bachelor and master’s levels. For example:

  • Diploma programs in areas such as Accounting, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Information Technology and Library Science.
  • Bachelor’s degrees in Business Management, Accounting & Finance, Marketing Management.
  • Master’s programmes such as MBA and MA in Project Planning & Management.

     The institution offers these programmes through multiple modalities: regular full-time, evening/ weekend (extension) and distance learning. SBTC also emphasizes the integration of information technology into its educational services and hosts a digital library platform providing e-books, journals and research materials to support its students and faculty. Beyond academics, the college organises international academic conferences (for example in business, innovation and management) and engages in community training such as computer and managerial skills for both government officials and the public.   • The length of research papers (including references) should be 4000 to 5000 words.
  • Suggestive paper structure:

    • Research Methodology
    • Data Analysis
    • Findings/Results
    • Conclusion/Implications
    • Recommendations (wherever required)
    • Acknowledgements (wherever appropriate)
    • References
    • Appendices (if any
    • Tables / Figures (at appropriate in the text).
  • Figures/ diagrams/ graphs to be given relevant titles, to be preferably in an editable form and numbered consecutively. The source reference should be indicated at the bottom.
  • Tables preferably in an editable form and numbered consecutively. Its 'title' should be placed above the table and 'source' should be indicated at the bottom. Tables should be numbered and referred to in the text as Table 1, Table 2, etc.
  • References should be included at the end of the paper and arranged in alphabetical order. The references must follow the style guide of the American Psychological Association (APA) seventh edition.
  • All manuscripts will be subject to blind peer- review.
  • The text should be in English. British usage is accepted.
  • All submissions should report original and previously unpublished research irrespective of the type of research paper you are presenting
  • All papers will be tested for plagiarism through a plagiarism software.

  • Research papers describing original and unpublished results of conceptual, constructive, experimental, applied and theoretical work or research. Submission of a manuscript implies that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • The author’s name or affiliations should not appear anywhere else in the body of the manuscript to facilitate the blind peer review process.

For ABSTRACT Submission

  • The acceptable word range for the abstract is 150-200 words.
