Peer-review Process

In keeping with its policy of commitment to high standards of scholarly publishing, MUDRA: Journal of Finance and Accounting follows a double-blind peer-review process for submitted manuscripts as per submission guidelines. The process enables validation of the submitted research work and helps to improve the quality of research work through valuable reviewer feedback to authors.

The reviewers are required to evaluate a manuscript on the following parameters:

Importance of Topic
Originality of Approach
Literature Review
Theoretical Rigour (clarity, focus, structure)
Research Methodology
Significance of Conclusions
Style of Presentation (writing, tables, graphics)
Referencing style

Responsibilities of the 'Reviewers'

The reviewers need to ensure the following:

Maintain absolute confidentiality with regard to the content of the manuscripts and keep their identity hidden from authors.
Review submitted work in an objective, responsible, impartial and timely manner.
No conflict of interest with the authors and the subject matter of the research.
Substantial similarities between submitted manuscripts and other published works of which the reviewer is aware, or any other suspected ethical misconduct to be reported to the editor.
Provide 'follow up’ advice to the editor(s), if requested.
