This study aims at establishing the factors influencing the sustainability of non-governmental organizations in Kenya. Specifically, it seeks to establish the influence of access to the donor funds, monitoring of the funds, resource and government policies on donor funding on the sustainability of NGOs. The study adopts a descriptive research design and has 288 NGOs in Nairobi County as the target population. The study’s sample size is 167 employees from the NGOs who were surveyed using a structured questionnaire. Analysis of collected data was done using descriptive and inferential statistics. The study finds that access to donor funds, monitoring of the funds, government policies on donor funding and resources are significantly related to the sustainability of NGOs. The study concludes that through resource accountability, the sustainability of NGOs is enhanced. The study recommends that NGOs through the management should ensure proper utilization of the donor funds and compliance with donor policies and government regulations to enhance their performance.
