Submission Guidelines

Paper Submission Guidelines - International Journal of Management Issues and Research

1. Online Submission System: Manuscripts must be submitted exclusively through the IJMIR online submission and peer-review system, accessible at https://www.journalpressindia.com/ijmir. The platform provides step-by-step guidance for entering article metadata and uploading submission files. Authors will be able to track the progress of their submission, including reviewer comments and editorial decisions, through the same system.

2. Manuscript Length: The recommended length of a manuscript is approximately 6,000 words, inclusive of all elements such as the abstract, references, tables, figures, notes, and appendices.

3. Manuscript Preparation Checklist: Prior to submission, authors are requested to ensure that the manuscript adheres to the following requirements:

  • The abstract must not exceed 150 words.
  • A set of 4–5 relevant keywords must be included.
  • Full details of all contributing authors (including name, institutional affiliation, postal address, email address, and contact number) must be provided in the designated fields within the submission system.
  • Important Note on Anonymity: To facilitate the journal’s double-blind peer-review process, the manuscript file uploaded for review must be anonymized. It should not contain any author-identifying information, including names, institutional affiliations, acknowledgements, or any self-referencing citations that could reveal the identity of the authors.
Author details collected via the submission portal are for administrative and editorial purposes only and will not be accessible to reviewers.
  • The manuscript has been thoroughly proofread for grammatical accuracy and spelling.
  • All in-text citations must be appropriately listed in the reference section.
  • Authors must obtain the necessary permissions for any third-party copyrighted material used in the manuscript.
  • References must adhere to the APA (American Psychological Association) style.
    Example:
Makino, S., Lau, C. M., & Yeh, R. S. (2002). Asset exploitation versus asset seeking: Implications for location choice of foreign direct investment from newly industrialised economies. Journal of International Business Studies33(3), 403–421.

4. Manuscript Template: Authors are encouraged to refer to the journal’s prescribed Manuscript Template available on the journal’s website, to structure their submission appropriately.

5. Plagiarism and Similarity check: All submissions are subjected to a plagiarism detection process upon receipt. Manuscripts with a similarity index of 15% or higher (including self-similarity with the author’s previous work) will not proceed to the peer-review stage. Authors are therefore advised to ensure that the similarity score remains below this threshold.

6. Ethical Considerations: Authors are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with the provisions of applicable copyright laws, particularly regarding any material borrowed from other sources. The School of Business Studies, Sharda University, shall not be held accountable for any violations. Authors are advised to consult the journal’s detailed Ethics Policy before submission. For more information, please refer to our detailed Ethics policy.

7. Copyright and licensing: Upon acceptance of a manuscript for publication, authors are required to submit a completed Copyright Form through the online submission system. This form serves as an exclusive license agreement and confirms the following: Sample Copyright Form

  • The manuscript is original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.
  • The content does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any individual or entity.
  • Appropriate permissions have been obtained for any copyrighted material used.
  • All potential conflicts of interest have been disclosed.
  • All sources of external funding or support have been acknowledged.
  • All individuals who have contributed significantly to the research have been appropriately credited.

8. Peer-review Process:  IJMIR employs a rigorous double-blind peer-review process. The editorial decision—whether acceptance, revision, or rejection—will be communicated only upon the completion of the review process. Further details are available in the journal’s Peer Review Policy.

For more information, please refer to the detailed peer-review process.

9. Editorial Discretion: The editorial team reserves the right to make editorial amendments to enhance the clarity, structure, or academic quality of accepted manuscripts, in accordance with the journal’s publication standards.

10. Manuscript Status Tracking: Authors may monitor the status of their submission at any stage by logging into their Dashboard on the IJMIR online submission system.

11. Correspondence and Queries: For any additional information or clarification, authors may contact the editorial team at: editor.ijmir@sharda.ac.in
