The importance of spirituality in the workplace has grown significantly in recent years, as organizations have come to understand its effects on staff satisfaction, productivity, and the working environment. Workplace spirituality can offer new perspectives on how people interact and feel more satisfied at work. While engagement has recently garnered a lot of scholarly attention, there is still much to discover about its antecedents, particularly intrinsic work satisfaction and organization based self-esteem. The study surveyed 618 employees of the Indian service industry, and data was analyzed using SPSS AMOS 22. The results revealed that workplace spirituality has a positive and significant effect on organization-based self-esteem, intrinsic work satisfaction, and employee engagement. The findings offer novel insights on how to establish a spiritual workplace that inspires and encourages employees to put in more effort for their organizations. The paper also discusses the implications, limitations and future research.
