The academic leaders, at large, have a great role in shaping future of the educational institutions and employees in a significant way. Leaders in the academic world are tasked with the job of promoting academic achievement and cultivating an environment that encourages academic research and knowledge at their respective institutions. When it comes to enabling institutions to grow, innovate, and succeed, research and dissemination are necessary requirements. It entails directing students, teachers, and staff toward the achievement of academic excellence and cultivating an atmosphere that encourages learning, research, and personal development. Using bibliometric and thematic content analysis, this study explores finding out which journals, authors, publications, and research topics are the most prominent in this subject. The study also intends to develop a conceptual framework for future research and provide an overview of the current research on academic leadership.
