Jan Dhan–Aadhaar–Mobile (JAM) trinity is a scheme that seeks to offer no-frill account, valid identity proof and digital platform for financial transactions with an intent to achieve inclusive state. It is based on two pillars namely active role of market participants and the provision of public services to the intended beneficiaries. This paper reviews research studies on performance of Jan Dhan Yojana scheme and factors impacting ownership/usage of accounts, role and risk assessment of Aadhaar Card, and pros and cons in the adoption of mobile banking. People have given overwhelming response by opening zero balance accounts and linking them with Aadhaar Card. As a proof of identity, Aadhar Cards have got wider acceptance and is expected to serve different purposes like eliminating fictitious beneficiaries, ensuring protection etc. Convenience became a major selling point for greater adoption of mobile banking among masses. However certain issues still remain.
