The present study examines consumer awareness and perception of AI-linked payment systems in Delhi National Capital region. A quantitative research approach was employed using a structured survey distributed to 150 respondents. The descriptive statistics used for the data analysis. The findings indicated a moderate to high level of awareness (Mean = 3.87, SD = 1.09), with convenience and security being the primary drivers of AI adoption. However, privacy concerns (Mean = 3.42, SD = 1.21) and trust issues (Mean = 3.55, SD = 1.15) persist, impacting consumer willingness to use AI-powered payments. Hypothesis testing revealed no significant difference in awareness based on education level (p = 0.112) but indicated a difference in adoption perception across occupation groups (p = 0.032). The study concludes that while AI-based payment systems offer efficiency, addressing consumer concerns through policy regulations and enhanced security features is crucial for wider adoption.
