This study addresses the impacts of sustainable financing practices within the agriculture sector on agricultural productivity, income accrued by farmers and social and economic welfare in rural India. Thus, a quantitative research design was chosen; survey data with 400 farmers were used with emphasis on the indicators of credit access, the productivity, the income, and the well-being. Analysis of data was done using the SPSS version 26; specifically, descriptive statistics, correlation, multiple regression and logistic regression were employed to investigate the relationship between the key variables. The results indicate that the availability of institutional credit is associated with a high level of productivity and income. In addition, credit awareness and education also became significant facilitators of financial access. Consequently, the findings suggest a need to implement policy solutions that will enhance financial inclusion by improving access to credit and increasing financial literacy programs. In addition, the findings identify the importance of sustainable financing in promoting climate-resilient agricultural practices. In general, the findings of this study demonstrate that sustainable financing can dramatically change rural livelihoods, contribute to inclusive agricultural development in India, especially among small farmers and marginalised populations, and alleviate rural poverty.
