Microfinance is beneficial to low income groups and empowering them financially (Linda, 2001) especially women as it helps in income generating activities, improving their domestic lifestyle and self-esteem. A research instrument was administered to the groups highlighting borrowings, present economic status, average earnings earned, decision making, effectiveness, and participation or role at the domestic level. In total 80 responses were considered and analysed using SPSS 20. The quantitative data was collected through questionnaire and partially a semi-structured interview was conducted to collect the qualitative data. The data has been interpreted using means and ratio. The impact on financial and non-financial aspects, women’s role in domestic decision-making and economic status have been discussed.
